Real-time protection. SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop delivers accurate and up-to-date protection through real-time interaction with the SonicWALL GRID Network. Every day, this global network evaluates millions of e-mails to evaluate and determine the security reputation of senders, content, links, images, attachments and more, with unparalleled accuracy. Any newly-discovered spam is removed automatically from the inbox in real-time.
Adversarial Bayesian filtering. SonicWALL deploys an Adversarial Bayesian engine that not only examines the content, but also considers hundreds of other e-mail attributes to detect even the most subtle spammer tricks, resulting in a true and complete spam evaluation of each message.
Flexible protection options. Users may personalize lists to block or allow e-mail based on e-mail address, domain name and mailing list. Users can fine tune the aggressiveness of message filtering based on the e-mail content (such as “Obscene Language” or “Advertising”) or even the language type.
Challenge-response ready. SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop can challenge none, some or all of the e-mail messages received from unknown senders. Challenges can be text or a visual image and users can customize the “challenge” message.

SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop installs in minutes on a Windows-based desktop or laptop and immediately begins protecting Outlook, Outlook Express , or Windows Mail inboxes from spam and phishing e-mail. There are no rules you need to create, no lists to populate. SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop will continue to learn about the e-mail that is spam and it will become even more efficient at protecting each inbox.
If a spam message does get past SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop and into an inbox, a user simply selects the message, presses the “Junk” button and the message will be instantly removed from the user’s inbox and placed in the SonicWALL Junk Mail box. SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop will also add the sender of the e-mail to a personal blocked list and the user will never receive a message from that sender again.
If a good message ends up in the SonicWALL Junk Mail folder, a user simply clicks on the message and selects the “Unjunk” button to immediately move the message to the inbox. SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop will also add the sender to the user’s personal allowed list and the user will always receive messages from that sender
